Goodyear Auto Technician

Akron, Ohio

Recently purchased coverage from Pro-TEC for his $100,000 investment in tools and equipment for $500 per year.

When Asked Why He Purchased Pro-TEC:

“There was a break-in in the Goodyear Lima, Ohio Service Repair Facility and employees’ tools and equipment were stolen-There was NO coverage supplied by Goodyear to protect their auto technicians which is very surprising in itself that someone as large as Goodyear does not provide any coverage for their employees.”

Don’t allow for the same misfortune to happen to you.

The First Car Led to the First Mechanic

The first car was created and it was good. A few days later, it broke down. That was bad. This led, of course, to the creation of the first mechanic.

From the time German Engineer, Karl Benz, invented the first practical automobile to use an internal combustion engine, there has been a need for mechanics. A mechanic is defined as someone who provides repairs or maintenance to a machine. Benz made his first auto in 1885 and the history of the auto mechanic began there for all practical purposes. Machines will break and they will do so even faster without care. Mechanics have always been with us and they have always repaired the engines we have used to help us with our work.mechanic

Automobiles were something totally different right from the start and the early mechanics were the same ones that had been repairing the horse drawn vehicles that they replaced. It did not take long for this to change. The automobile engine was something new and much more complex than the simple wagons and carriages. As automobiles quickly began to spread out, mechanics began to specialize in their repair and maintenance.

An example of how rapid this spread can be seen in the fact that auto mechanics formed a union in Seattle, Washington in 1917. A year later, this union had 250 members and

Customer Feedback on Pro-TEC’s Tool Insurance

toolsHey to all my tool carrying friends,

I just switched my son’s tool insurance from Farmers to Pro-TEC and I am now only spending $350 a year for $70,000 of insurance on hand tools, welder, air compressor, tool boxes, etc……. we were spending $747 every six months.

Anyway, I figured you need insurance on your tools against theft, flood, fire, etc…. blanket coverage. The people are really nice and you can do it over the phone. You don’t have to have a tool inventory list, though you will need one if you have a claim so do one up front anyway.

They offer $50,000 for $250 but we upped it to $70,000 for $350.
